Five things you should know about Michele

1 The 24-year-old has had two No.1 hits with her band Industry – Burn and My Baby’s Waiting – and has toured with JLS and the Pussycat Dolls.

2 She studied acting in the Millbank Theatre in Rush before joining the Dublin Youth Theatre.

3 When she was 12, her drama class got to go to The Point and she told her classmates that someday she’d be back there performing. She returned with Industry 10 years later and performed in front of 10,000 people. “It was my best life experience to date,” she says.

4 She’s in a long-distance relationship with a Welsh rugby player who’s in an Italian league, so she spends a lot of her spare time in Rome.

5 Michele describes herself as “the biggest chancer going”. “Obviously you need to have a bit of talent, but you’ve got to chance away and I think if you work hard and you have a good attitude then you can achieve anything.”
